After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Cristiano Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Valezim's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão Leal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Duarte Ferro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. In the 41st minute Cláudio Aguiar suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 42nd minute, Rafael Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Heitor Sousa was the one to do the kick off. In the 83rd match minute, SC Valezim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Lisboa to maneuver through the defense.
