Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After 12 minutes, Miguel Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ariz FC and the Ovar players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Ovar. Fernando Domingues stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Heitor Machado. 0-1. Hélder Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Álvaro Assis in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Ovar's goalkeeper Hélder Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Álvaro Assis. If Miguel Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ovar's Hélder Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Ovar from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Ovar's Pedro Sousa got a free kick in the 27th minute. Jaime Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armando Machado's late challenge caught a Ovar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armando Machado helped the player get up and apologised. After 31 played minutes Ariz FC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Machado. After 37 played minutes Ariz FC got a freekick which was hit by Oliveira Leão. Hélder Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Assunção in the 43rd minute of the match. Heitor Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Gueifão in the 46th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Assunção to make the kick off. Ovar's Nuno Gueifão got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute, Jaime Barros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ovar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The supporters of Ovar booed when Ariz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuno Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Heitor Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Assunção fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Santos having to interfere. André Amaro hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Fernando Domingues was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Ovar's Nuno Gueifão in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ariz FC's goalie prevented a goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ovar walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
