Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Favais FC's Eusébio Assis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Alfredo Faria put in a rough tackle. Alexandre Sousa shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 7th minute, António Bessa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Manuel Aguiar, passed just outside the right post. António Bessa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Manuel Aguiar made a huge save. If Sandro Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Xavier Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When António Bessa came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Azueira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Bessa couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the match, Azueira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Moniz came free, but André Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Aguiar made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when António Bessa sent off a good shot on target. After 35 played minutes Favais FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Borba. Manuel Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Aguiar made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when António Bessa sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonso Monteiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. António Bessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Moniz charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Moniz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Monteiro in the 61st minute of play forced Favais FC's goalkeeper Manuel Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the game, António Bessa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Manuel Aguiar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Manuel Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Bessa in the 66th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Afonso Monteiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Azueira FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 82nd minute, Nuno Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandre Sousa, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Azueira FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Favais FC for a fine match.
