In the 18th match minute, SC Medeiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Pinto to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Lucas Pinheiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Gomes. SC Medeiros's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Pinheiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 26th minute, Duarte Macedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rui Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The audience was convinced that Manuel Cabral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Gomes was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Rui Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Gaspar in the 34th minute of the match. Canhestres FC's Rui Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Gaspar in the 74th minute of play. Miguel Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José Henriques kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Medeiros's zone, Lucas Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Gomes came out of the goal and Lucas Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Medeiros had won after a very even match.
