After having played for 12 minutes, Gustavo Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Pernelhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Henriques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Assunção showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Henriques in the 14th minute of the match. SC Alguber's Jorge Assunção played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Henriques in the 18th minute of play. After 28 minutes, Luís Henriques mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Alguber and the SC Pernelhas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th match minute, SC Alguber was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Henriques to maneuver through the defense. If Gustavo Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Freitas in the 36th minute of play forced SC Pernelhas's goalkeeper Rui Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Magalhães in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Assunção prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustavo Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 41 minutes into the match, SC Pernelhas's goalkeeper Rui Rodrigues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Moreira. Rui Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Freitas in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Rodrigo Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 47 minutes, Gustavo Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Pernelhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Henriques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half SC Pernelhas were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduardo Freitas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SC Pernelhas's Rui Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Moreira in the 53rd minute of play. When Joel Magalhães, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 56 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jorge Assunção was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When SC Pernelhas's Joel Magalhães in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Alguber's goalie prevented a goal. 63 minutes into the match, SC Alguber's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Magalhães came free, but Jorge Assunção reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Moreira took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rui Rodrigues. Rui Rodrigues dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Rui Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Moreira in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, SC Pernelhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 76 in the game by Jaime Henriques from a close distance when the talented Jorge Assunção managed to make a qualified save. SC Alguber's players were relieved. Álvaro Dias charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Álvaro Dias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Pernelhas booed when SC Alguber was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gustavo Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Assunção took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
