In the 5th minute Simão Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Assunção saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Assunção made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro Miranda in the 7th minute of play. Joaquim Moreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eduardo Freitas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nuno Henriques came out and tried to block the shot, but Eduardo Freitas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. After having played for 19 minutes, Eduardo Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Alguber's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Assunção took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Eduardo Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the SC Alguber fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Freitas couldn't finish the play. Álvaro Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Assunção having to interfere. Jorge Assunção took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SC Alguber booed when SC Lombinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuno Henriques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Assunção having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Álvaro Miranda made a kick off. SC Lombinha's Nuno Henriques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Freitas in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Freitas in the 65th minute of play forced SC Lombinha's goalkeeper Nuno Henriques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, SC Alguber's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Miranda came free, but Jorge Assunção reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Nuno Henriques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Cláudio Aleixo, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Eduardo Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Henriques hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Gaspar Gaspar was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 85th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Simão Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jorge Assunção tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Luís Henriques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Simão Vale got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
