The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Gonçalves got free with Filipe Moutinho in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Catarino Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Moutinho having to interfere. After having played for 26 minutes, André Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Regateiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Barbosa got free with Filipe Moutinho in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frutuaria's Filipe Moutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Barbosa in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Frutuaria's Lourenço Simões got a free kick in the 38th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oliveira Almeida stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Filipe Moutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After having played for 55 minutes, Afonso Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Regateiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Catarino Antunes in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Filipe Moutinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Catarino Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Frutuaria players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Regateiras.
