Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Correias's André Luz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Correias's Pedro Lopes got control of the ball when Carlos Resende tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 7 played minutes Apartadura FC got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Jesus. 10 minutes into the match, Correias's Diogo Alves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duarte Antunes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Henrique Reis hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Apartadura FC's Duarte Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogo Alves in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Correias booed when Apartadura FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Jesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, André Luz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raul Barbosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raul Barbosa ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Barbosa in the 22nd minute of play. Raul Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Pedro Lopes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apartadura FC. 25 minutes into the match, Diogo Alves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Duarte Antunes. Apartadura FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diogo Alves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Diogo Alves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duarte Antunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Correias's Marco Cardoso got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Duarte Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Alves in the 46th minute of play. Duarte Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luz in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Raul Barbosa made the kick off in the second half. 1-1 became the score in the 51st minute when Raul Barbosa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Reis in the 56th minute of play forced Correias's goalkeeper Pedro Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Pedro Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Apartadura FC defense, Diogo Alves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duarte Antunes. The Apartadura FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duarte Antunes should have stopped the shot. Duarte Antunes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 76th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pedro Carneiro. André Luz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duarte Antunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Paulo Coimbra charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Coimbra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd match minute, Correias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Coimbra to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Apartadura FC's Nuno Sousa tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 93rd match minute, Apartadura FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Tavares to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute Diogo Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Correias supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Correias would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
