Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Garcia in the 13th minute of play forced SC Armada's goalkeeper Daniel Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Campos struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Ricardo Ferro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Armada. Rogério Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute Fernando Jesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Armada's Daniel Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Freitas in the 29th minute of play. When Albertino Bessa fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Armada's protests and gave Albertino Bessa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Albertino Bessa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the game, Simão Pedroso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Armada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ajuda FC the free kick. Simão Pedroso hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Luís Cabral's late challenge caught a Ajuda FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Cabral helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th minute, Luís Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Jesus in the 44th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucas Campos to strike the kick off in the second half. Lucas Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ricardo Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Jesus might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Veiga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Jesus ran back to his position shaking his head. 79 minutes into the game, Amílcar Lopes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ajuda FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Armada the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ajuda FC's Amílcar Lopes got a free kick in the 80th minute. Emanuel Valente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Ferro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Luís Cabral was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 82nd minute, Luís Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ajuda FC's Fernando Jesus got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, SC Armada's João Dias got a free kick in the 86th minute. With his leg Daniel Veiga managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Ajuda FC's Fernando Jesus fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 91 minutes into the game, Lucas Campos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Armada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ajuda FC the free kick. The supporters of Ajuda FC booed when SC Armada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Bessa's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Daniel Veiga on his right side and into the goal. 94 minutes into the game it was 0-1.
