Manuel Martins started the match with the kick off. Humberto Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5thth minute of the game Cristóvão Pires who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bajouca's Humberto Lopes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manuel Martins was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 15th minute. Bajouca's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Quintos! Pedro Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Lopes having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Figueiredo in the 24th minute of play forced Bajouca's goalkeeper Humberto Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Rafael Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sérgio Teixeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Rafael Moura made a huge save. In the 38th minute, SC Quintos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Manuel Martins fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Pedro Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Humberto Lopes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Quintos. In the 47th minute Cristóvão Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A collision led to Bajouca getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Delfim Ferro hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Pedro Figueiredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Quintos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Sérgio Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Bajouca's Paulo Garcia got a free kick in the 69th minute. Rafael Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Humberto Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Pires in the 84th minute of the match. Pedro Figueiredo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Lopes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. SC Quintos's Rafael Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Teixeira in the 90th minute of play. In the 96th minute Manuel Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The SC Quintos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Quintos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
