Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Xavier Martins made the kick off which started today's match. SC Bicheiro's Catarino Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Martins in the 9th minute of play. After 12 minutes of play, Pernes FC's Sandro Resende made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Catarino Garcia was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 15th minute Alfredo Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Pedroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Catarino Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonso Azevedo during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Pernes FC booed when SC Bicheiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavier Martins in the 27th minute of play forced SC Bicheiro's goalkeeper Catarino Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Bicheiro's zone, Xavier Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Catarino Garcia came out of the goal and Xavier Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredo Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacinto Trindade received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Óscar Pedroso came out and tried to block the shot, but Jacinto Trindade slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 37th minute. In the 41st minute Xavier Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Catarino Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Bernardo Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Barbosa was the one to do the kick off. Alfredo Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Óscar Pedroso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Bicheiro. 60 minutes into the match, SC Bicheiro's Jacinto Trindade sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Óscar Pedroso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavier Martins in the 61st minute of play forced SC Bicheiro's goalkeeper Catarino Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the game, SC Bicheiro's Alfredo Barbosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Óscar Pedroso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Jacinto Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After some careless play in the SC Bicheiro defense, Sandro Resende kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Catarino Garcia. The SC Bicheiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Catarino Garcia should have stopped the shot. Óscar Pedroso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Barbosa in the 77th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto Trindade in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Óscar Pedroso saved Pernes FC from getting behind. Óscar Pedroso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Barbosa in the 80th minute of the match. Jacinto Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandro Resende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Xavier Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
