Óscar Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Paulo Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 5 minutes into the game, Abel Araújo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Foupana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Odrinhas the free kick. In the 5th match minute, Foupana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Araújo to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Óscar Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Óscar Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Paulo Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Óscar Veiga in the 13th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Óscar Veiga in the 15th minute of play forced SC Odrinhas's goalkeeper Paulo Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Óscar Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Pereira having to interfere. Tomás Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Pereira having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Vasco Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Óscar Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Abel Araújo struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Paulo Pereira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Foupana. If Tomás Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vasco Lima during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Odrinhas's Vasco Lima got a free kick in the 39th minute. Alberto Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Lisboa in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacinto Lisboa to strike the kick off in the second half. Emílio Miranda struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Alberto Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Odrinhas. Tomás Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cláudio Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Óscar Veiga in the 63rd minute of play forced SC Odrinhas's goalkeeper Paulo Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Odrinhas! The supporters of SC Odrinhas booed when Foupana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Miranda in the 70th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Foupana's zone, Emílio Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Pinheiro came out of the goal and Emílio Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacinto Lisboa struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Alberto Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Odrinhas. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto Lisboa in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto Pinheiro saved Foupana from getting behind. 86 minutes into the match, SC Odrinhas's goalkeeper Paulo Pereira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Almeida. Tomás Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Paulo Pereira made a huge save. If Jacinto Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Odrinhas's Emílio Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SC Odrinhas's Paulo Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Óscar Veiga in the 98th minute of play. Paulo Pereira made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Tomás Almeida sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Foupana eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
