The supporters of Adraga booed when SC Escariz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Adolfo Coimbra notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SC Escariz's Afonso Lisboa. Afonso Lisboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Faria in the 13th minute of play forced Adraga's goalkeeper Lourenço Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rodrigo Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Adraga's goalkeeper Lourenço Ribeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Pereira. In the 24th minute, SC Escariz's Abel Faria dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Adolfo Coimbra took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonso Lisboa. Afonso Lisboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Afonso Lisboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Coimbra in the 34th minute of play. Nuno Porto struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Afonso Lisboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Adraga. A collision led to Adraga getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Rogério Valente hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Abel Faria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lourenço Ribeiro was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 39th minute, Abel Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Adraga's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Rodrigues came free, but Lourenço Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodrigo Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abel Faria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lourenço Ribeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. After 46 minutes, Nuno Porto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Adraga and the SC Escariz players grew even worse after the yellow card. After the first half Adraga were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abel Faria was the one to do the kick off. Afonso Lisboa was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and João Amorim capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. João Amorim really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. A collision led to Adraga getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Rogério Valente hit a great ball. If Abel Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd match minute, Adraga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Miranda to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute of the match SC Escariz got a corner. Adraga's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luís Trindade ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 69th minute, Nuno Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Lourenço Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Escariz's Abel Faria got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, SC Escariz's goalkeeper Afonso Lisboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adolfo Coimbra. Cândido Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Adolfo Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Afonso Lisboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso Lisboa made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Adolfo Coimbra sent off a good shot on target. Lourenço Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Gonçalo Matias charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
