Alexandre Brito was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but João Amorim showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. Inácio Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Ribeiro having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Coimbra got free with Alexandre Brito in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute Cristóvão Moniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lourenço Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adraga's Lourenço Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Pereira in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to Adraga getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Rogério Valente hit a great ball. In the 44th minute of the match SC Gambelas got a corner. Adraga's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amadeu Teixeira ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Amadeu Teixeira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Adraga's Lourenço Ribeiro did a great save. In the 45th minute Cristóvão Moniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lourenço Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when João Amorim made the kick off in the second half. Cristóvão Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
