Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Afonso Nascimento started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Nascimento in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg António Soares saved SC Setabul from getting behind. Ricardo Vaz's late challenge caught a SC Caravelas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Vaz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Setabul getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ricardo Vaz hit a great ball. If Vítor Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diamantino Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Adelino Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 played minutes SC Caravelas got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Queirós. Diamantino Carneiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adelino Paiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, SC Setabul's goal looked a bit too open when Catarino Ribeiro came free, but António Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th match minute, SC Setabul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Faria to maneuver through the defense. If Vítor Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Setabul's António Soares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Setabul from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the match, SC Caravelas's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Carneiro came free, but Adelino Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fábio Coimbra kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. SC Caravelas's Adelino Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Assunção in the 38th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Afonso Nascimento took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for António Soares to make any attempt to save it. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Diamantino Carneiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adelino Paiva having to make a save. When Vítor Assunção came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the SC Setabul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Assunção couldn't finish the play. SC Caravelas's Adelino Paiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Caravelas from getting a goal against them. Inácio Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. SC Caravelas's Afonso Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adelino Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Faria in the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Nascimento in the 70th minute of play forced SC Setabul's goalkeeper António Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Catarino Ribeiro struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. António Soares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Caravelas. 76 minutes in the game, Diamantino Carneiro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Adelino Paiva having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Caravelas's zone, Diamantino Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adelino Paiva came out of the goal and Diamantino Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diamantino Carneiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adelino Paiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd match minute, SC Setabul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Assunção to maneuver through the defense. António Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Catarino Ribeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without António Soares having to make a save. António Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Nascimento in the 89th minute of play. With a little luck, SC Caravelas's Adelino Paiva got control of the ball when Vítor Assunção tried to sneak it across the goal line. SC Caravelas's Adelino Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Carneiro in the 95th minute of play. SC Caravelas's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
