After a rather tough play, Canaveses FC's Fernando Alves got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Canaveses FC's Paulo Trindade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Canaveses FC from getting a goal against them. Mariano Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Pedroso having to interfere. Cristóvão Delgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Paulo Trindade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristóvão Delgado was the one to do the kick off. Mariano Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Pedroso having to interfere. If Cristóvão Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emílio Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the game, Emílio Borges recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joaquim Pedroso. Emílio Borges showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 89 minutes into the match, Vitoria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio Borges came free, but Joaquim Pedroso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Borges in the 97th minute of play forced Vitoria FC's goalkeeper Joaquim Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
