Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Basílio Rocha started the match with the kick off. António Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Aleixo in the 4th minute of play. André Aleixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Paredes having to interfere. After some careless play in the Gafanhao defense, Augusto Jesus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simão Jesus. The Gafanhao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simão Jesus should have stopped the shot. Basílio Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Rui Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, José Gueifão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute, Rodrigo Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lúcio Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Vítor Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Freixeda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vítor Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 38 minutes into the game, Vítor Brito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Simão Jesus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Vítor Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Gafanhao's zone, Vítor Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Jesus came out of the goal and Vítor Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basílio Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and André Aleixo made a kick off. Vítor Brito struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Simão Jesus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Freixeda. Gafanhao were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Freixeda's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gaspar Delgado took the corner. After taking down the ball on Gafanhao's corner Gaspar Delgado fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and António Paredes quite easily take care of the ball. Simão Jesus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Rocha in the 65th minute of play. Simão Jesus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. André Aleixo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but António Paredes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Freixeda's Augusto Jesus got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Freixeda's goalkeeper António Paredes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vítor Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Simão Jesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Vítor Brito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simão Jesus was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Simão Jesus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Gafanhao fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Freixeda were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
