David Gaspar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Lúcio Tavares made a huge save. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Badamalos FC's goalkeeper Jacinto Moutinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Francisco Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jacinto Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Badamalos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Soares came free, but Jacinto Moutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Perozelo's Lúcio Tavares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save SC Perozelo from getting a goal against them. After having played for 22 minutes, Emanuel Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Badamalos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Dantas during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SC Perozelo booed when Badamalos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, SC Perozelo's Manuel Bessa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, David Gaspar took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Lúcio Tavares to make any attempt to save it. Pedro Queirós's late challenge caught a SC Perozelo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Perozelo's António Machado got a free kick in the 36th minute. After 46 minutes Badamalos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Manuel Bessa who took care of the corner kick. David Gaspar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lúcio Tavares came out and tried to block the shot, but David Gaspar slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 48th minute.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandre Leiria to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in SC Perozelo's zone, David Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lúcio Tavares came out of the goal and David Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 57 minutes, António Machado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Perozelo and the Badamalos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th match minute, SC Perozelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Machado to maneuver through the defense. If Alexandre Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Leiria did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Jacinto Moutinho 66 minutes into the match. Lúcio Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Martins in the 69th minute of the match. Jacinto Moutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Leiria, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After having played for 73 minutes, Francisco Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Badamalos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Perozelo the free kick.
