If Cristiano Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 4 minutes of play, SC Prime's Cristiano Soares made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Leão was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Jacinto Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the game, Talhada FC's Jacinto Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristóvão Reis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Mário Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Leão having to interfere. Cristóvão Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Vaz in the 28th minute of play. Talhada FC's Jorge Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Soares in the 31st minute of play. Cristóvão Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Costa in the 39th minute of the match. Jacinto Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristóvão Reis having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
In the 64th minute Cristiano Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mário Campos came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the SC Prime fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Campos couldn't finish the play. Jacinto Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Talhada FC booed when SC Prime was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Jacinto Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talhada FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristóvão Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of SC Prime booed when Talhada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jacinto Costa came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Talhada FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Costa couldn't finish the play. After 94 minutes of play, Talhada FC's Diamantino Vaz made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristóvão Reis was left in no man's land by his defense there!
