Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Paiva started the match with the kick off. Basílio Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Bruno Azevedo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Ilhavo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basílio Leite during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Basílio Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Bruno Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Paiva in the 22nd minute of the match. Miguel Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Leite having to interfere. After 31 minutes, Américo Figueiredo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Ilhavo and the Gafaria players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes SC Ilhavo got a freekick which was hit by Américo Figueiredo. António Tavares shot from long distance in the 32nd minute, but Bruno Azevedo was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. 33 minutes into the game, Miguel Delgado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Nuno Leite was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bruno Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Branco in the 39th minute. After the first half SC Ilhavo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oliveira Moutinho to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Daniel Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Bruno Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Paiva scored 1-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Gafaria defense, Miguel Delgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nuno Leite. The Gafaria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nuno Leite should have stopped the shot. 64 minutes into the match, Gafaria's goal looked a bit too open when Oliveira Moutinho came free, but Nuno Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oliveira Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Nuno Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Gafaria getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Filipe Henriques hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Miguel Delgado managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Ilhavo's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Delgado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Leite breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miguel Delgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gil Machado hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. SC Ilhavo's Carlos Bessa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 77th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gafaria. After a rather tough play, Gafaria's Gil Machado got a free kick in the 81st minute. If Carlos Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 played minutes SC Ilhavo got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Resende. Daniel Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Bruno Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gafaria's goalkeeper Nuno Leite, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
