Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Manuel Campos started the match with the kick off. Adelino Guerreiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Aleixo in the 4th minute of the match. Penafirme's Bento Guerreiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Vale in the 12th minute of play. Gaspar Aleixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Guerreiro having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, SC Arroio's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Aleixo came free, but Adelino Guerreiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the SC Arroio defense, Manuel Campos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adelino Guerreiro. The SC Arroio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adelino Guerreiro should have stopped the shot. Basílio Teixeira hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Manuel Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 29 minutes, Gaspar Aleixo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penafirme's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaspar Aleixo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, SC Arroio's Bento Guerreiro threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Simão Vale, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 43 minutes into the match, Penafirme's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Vale came free, but Bento Guerreiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Penafirme's Bento Guerreiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Vale in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Bento Guerreiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Simão Vale's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Adelino Guerreiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaspar Aleixo in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, SC Arroio's Afonso Guerreiro got a free kick in the 61st minute. Gaspar Aleixo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adelino Guerreiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. When Paulo Anjos fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Arroio's protests and gave Paulo Anjos a yellow card for diving instead. Paulo Anjos hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Basílio Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gaspar Aleixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, SC Arroio's Adelino Guerreiro got control of the ball when Gaspar Aleixo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adelino Guerreiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Campos, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute Manuel Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Guerreiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Simão Vale sped through Penafirme's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bento Guerreiro. Bento Guerreiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Gaspar Aleixo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adelino Guerreiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Bento Guerreiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Vale in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Penafirme eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
