Catarino Pinho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Miguel Vieira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Catarino Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Zibreira's supporters rose to their feet, but Catarino Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in SC Zibreira's zone, João Maia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Gaspar came out of the goal and João Maia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Emílio Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Gaspar having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emílio Valente in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Gaspar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Emílio Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lamego FC's Miguel Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Catarino Pinho in the 73rd minute of play. When Tomás Vaz fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lamego FC's protests and gave Tomás Vaz a yellow card for diving instead. Tomás Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Miguel Vieira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Catarino Pinho's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Catarino Pinho struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Miguel Vieira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Zibreira. In the 83rd minute, Lourenço Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Catarino Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The SC Zibreira supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lamego FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Lamego FC.
