After having played for 3 minutes, Adelino Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Gaiteira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodrigo Borba hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Henrique Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Gaiteira's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrique Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fábio Miranda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, SC Destriz's Rodrigo Borba got a free kick in the 8th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaspar Cruz during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, SC Destriz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Paredes's shot from long distance in the 12th minute was not bad at all, but SC Destriz's Fábio Miranda knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Fábio Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliveira Pacheco in the 13th minute of the match. After 15 minutes, Adelino Borges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Gaiteira and the SC Destriz players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th minute, Adelino Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fábio Miranda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adelino Borges in the 37th minute. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Adelino Borges sped through SC Destriz's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fábio Miranda. When Gaspar Henriques came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the SC Destriz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Henriques couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaspar Henriques to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute SC Destriz were awarded a corner. Eusébio Maia went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Eusébio Maia almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SC Gaiteira's Gil Dias did a great save. Inácio Campos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Gil Dias skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. SC Gaiteira's Gil Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Henriques in the 73rd minute of play. Henrique Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Fábio Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Veiga in the 78th minute of play forced SC Destriz's goalkeeper Fábio Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Borba charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodrigo Borba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Destriz getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Rodrigo Borba hit a great ball. Adelino Borges struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Fábio Miranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal.
