In the 12th match minute, Rebolo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernando Amaro was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes, Domingos Lisboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rapadoura FC and the Rebolo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Rapadoura FC's Bento Lima slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Óscar Moura. That made the score 0-2 after 72 minutes of play. When Raul Ferreira fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rebolo FC's protests and gave Raul Ferreira a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rapadoura FC booed when Rebolo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Amaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, Fernando Amaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Rapadoura FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rapadoura FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
