The Zambujeiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Leite should have stopped the shot. Cristiano Gueifão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Leite having to make a save. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 53 minutes Zambujeiro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hugo Torres who took care of the corner kick. The corner led SC Cumeadas's Hugo Torres to fire away a dangerous shot which João Leite despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
