Júlio Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliveira Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Oliveira Melo took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Júlio Andrade. Júlio Andrade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 42 minutes into the match, SC Almendra's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Branco came free, but Júlio Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Oliveira Melo made the kick off in the second half. Palhas were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after SC Almendra's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Óscar Setúbal took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Óscar Setúbal got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Júlio Andrade quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 56 minutes into the match, SC Almendra's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Branco came free, but Júlio Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
