Manuel Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SC Capellas booed when SC Bugarreos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Alexandre Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Bugarreos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simão Morais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Luís Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Catarino Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Costa having to interfere. SC Bugarreos's Alexandre Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Simão Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, SC Bugarreos's Simão Morais dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Afonso Araújo hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. If Catarino Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Simão Morais left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Bugarreos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Simão Morais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Manuel Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Capellas. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Simão Morais managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manuel Costa made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Catarino Faro sent off a good shot on target. Manuel Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catarino Faro, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
