In the 5th minute Daniel Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amílcar Azevedo's late challenge caught a SC Finzes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amílcar Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th match minute, SC Sameiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílcar Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. António Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when SC Finzes's Daniel Matos fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After 22 played minutes SC Sameiro got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Amorim. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Mendes in the 23rd minute of play forced SC Sameiro's goalkeeper António Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. António Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Mendes in the 26th minute of the match. SC Sameiro's Amílcar Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amílcar Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Leiria having to interfere. Henrique Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Machado having to interfere. Amílcar Azevedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandre Leiria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amílcar Azevedo ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Moutinho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 43rdth minute, Alexandre Leiria skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to SC Finzes getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Domingos Coelho hit a great ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Henrique Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Finzes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrique Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

After a defensive mix-up in SC Sameiro's zone, Daniel Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Machado came out of the goal and Daniel Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Leiria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After a rather tough play, SC Sameiro's Paulo Amorim got a free kick in the 67th minute. Henrique Mendes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, António Machado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. António Machado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrique Mendes in the 72nd minute. If Henrique Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SC Sameiro getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Armindo Campos hit a great ball. After 89 minutes SC Sameiro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luís Nogueira who took care of the corner kick. SC Finzes's Luís Nogueira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but António Machado in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. SC Sameiro's António Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Mendes in the 92nd minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Daniel Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Finzes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to SC Finzes getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Luís Nogueira hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Finzes eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
