In the 7thth minute of the game José Araújo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Unhao's Fábio Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cândido Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertino Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. José Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Setúbal kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Carlos Morais kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Unhao's zone, Oliveira Henriques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Vale came out of the goal and Oliveira Henriques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute Albertino Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cândido Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oliveira Henriques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Fábio Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fábio Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliveira Henriques, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertino Fernandes in the 36th minute of play forced Remedios FC's goalkeeper Cândido Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Vale having to interfere. After having played for 42 minutes, Oliveira Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Remedios FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliveira Henriques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xavier Luz's late challenge caught a Remedios FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xavier Luz helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes SC Unhao got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Luz. In the 46th minute Remedios FC were awarded a corner. Daniel Jesus went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Jesus got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fábio Vale quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Araújo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Diamantino Pacheco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in SC Unhao's zone, Oliveira Henriques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Vale came out of the goal and Oliveira Henriques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 62 played minutes SC Unhao got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Luz. In the 63rd minute, Daniel Jesus sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Unhao's Fábio Vale didn't even have to move. When SC Unhao's Albertino Fernandes in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Remedios FC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertino Fernandes in the 73rd minute of play forced Remedios FC's goalkeeper Cândido Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cândido Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Setúbal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, SC Unhao's goalkeeper Fábio Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oliveira Henriques. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Araújo in the 86th minute of play forced SC Unhao's goalkeeper Fábio Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albertino Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Amorim having to interfere. Fábio Vale came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Remedios FC's Oliveira Henriques. But to his dismay, Oliveira Henriques quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
