Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Artur Dantas kicked off to start the match. SC Vareiros's André Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Dantas in the 5th minute of play. When Artur Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Broegas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Dantas couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Broegas's goalkeeper David Resende, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Artur Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes SC Vareiros got a freekick which was hit by Artur Macedo. If Cláudio Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Pinho was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Artur Dantas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Artur Dantas really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Artur Dantas took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for André Pinho to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cláudio Monteiro got free with André Pinho in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vítor Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Resende having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
In the 54th minute of the match, Joaquim Jesus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but David Resende saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Artur Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. André Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Broegas booed when SC Vareiros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Bessa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Broegas's Alfredo Barbosa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Vareiros. Broegas's Cláudio Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SC Vareiros's André Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Monteiro in the 71st minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Broegas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Assunção to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Freitas got free with David Resende in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vítor Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but David Resende made a huge save. Vítor Amorim might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Resende. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vítor Amorim ran back to his position shaking his head. Vítor Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Resende having to interfere. Vítor Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. If Artur Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Broegas fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Vareiros had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
