Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) SC Vareiros's Afonso Gueifão started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Artur Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. André Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur Pinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but André Pinho made a huge save. Sinfaes's Rui Brás played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Gueifão in the 12th minute of play. Joaquim Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Manuel Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Vareiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Brás breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rui Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rui Maia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without André Pinho having to make a save. When Ricardo Leal fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sinfaes's protests and gave Ricardo Leal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Sinfaes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Leal to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th match minute, Sinfaes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Lisboa to maneuver through the defense. After 28 played minutes SC Vareiros got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Jesus. Afonso Gueifão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Joaquim Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rui Maia made a kick off. The supporters of Sinfaes booed when SC Vareiros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Resende didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55thth minute of the game Rui Maia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Vareiros's André Pinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rui Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Pinho having to interfere. Joaquim Jesus scored 1-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rui Brás, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st minute, Artur Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Sinfaes getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Armindo Jesus hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Sinfaes's Joaquim Gomes got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 73rd minute, Artur Pinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joaquim Jesus in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rui Brás, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Afonso Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sinfaes's Rui Brás played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Gueifão in the 79th minute of play. 1-2 became the score in the 85th minute when Afonso Gueifão elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Joaquim Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sinfaes's goalkeeper Rui Brás, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
