Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Tadim's Ricardo Nunes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Basílio Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Nunes in the 9th minute of play. If Ricardo Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Óscar Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Óscar Moreira got free with Cristiano Rocha in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Alexandre Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th match minute, SC Tadim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Jesus to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Rocha made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Óscar Moreira sent off a good shot on target. Alexandre Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Rocha having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Macedo during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cornalheira FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! After the first half SC Tadim were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Cristiano Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Amaral in the 54th minute of play. Ricardo Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Basílio Paredes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Armando Campos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basílio Paredes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cornalheira FC's Basílio Paredes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Cornalheira FC from getting a goal against them. Pedro Nogueira's late challenge caught a SC Tadim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Nogueira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SC Tadim booed when Cornalheira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Nunes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Basílio Paredes was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Pedro Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Paredes having to interfere. Armando Campos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Óscar Moreira struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Cristiano Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cornalheira FC. When Ricardo Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the SC Tadim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Nunes couldn't finish the play. Armando Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Paredes having to interfere. With a little luck, Cornalheira FC's Basílio Paredes got control of the ball when Daniel Jesus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Óscar Moreira might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristiano Rocha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Óscar Moreira ran back to his position shaking his head. After 96 minutes, Tomás Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Tadim and the Cornalheira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cornalheira FC's João Macedo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 98th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Tadim. The SC Tadim supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Tadim would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
