Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when André Garcia got the match started through his kick off. Joaquim Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Eduardo Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduardo Santos made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Joaquim Gaspar sent off a good shot on target. After 9 played minutes SC Mondroes got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Rodrigues. In the 14th minute, SC Mondroes's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joaquim Gaspar fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Fábio Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Eduardo Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Seixal's Fábio Cruz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eduardo Santos. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. The supporters of SC Seixal booed when SC Mondroes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes in the game Daniel Cabral after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Eduardo Santos. A very good opportunity. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Gaspar got free with Eduardo Santos in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joaquim Gaspar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Eduardo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Cruz in the 37th minute of play. With a little luck, SC Mondroes's Eduardo Santos got control of the ball when Joaquim Gaspar tried to sneak it across the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, SC Mondroes's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio Cruz came free, but Eduardo Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fábio Cruz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. André Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Augusto Morais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduardo Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Basílio Machado notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of SC Seixal's Augusto Morais. Augusto Morais was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eduardo Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Cruz in the 70th minute of the match. After 75 minutes SC Seixal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was José Leiria who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in José Leiria almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SC Seixal's Augusto Morais did a great save. Tiago Antunes's late challenge caught a SC Seixal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Antunes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Mondroes getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Tiago Antunes hit a great ball. After 81 minutes, Basílio Machado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Mondroes and the SC Seixal players grew even worse after the yellow card. André Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Fábio Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Joaquim Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the SC Seixal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Gaspar couldn't finish the play.
