Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Abel Assis started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Assis in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Figueiredo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Afonso Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Jacinto Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristóvão Aleixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Gonçalo Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Nogueira hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Paulo Rocha sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Avantos FC's Gonçalo Coelho didn't even have to move. José Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gonçalo Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gonçalo Coelho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristóvão Aleixo's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristóvão Aleixo in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gonçalo Coelho saved Avantos FC from getting behind. In the 27th minute Cristóvão Aleixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Avantos FC's Gonçalo Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Simões in the 30th minute of play. Joaquim Faria took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacinto Figueiredo. SC Alfonge's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 39 minutes, Vicente Gueifão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avantos FC and the SC Alfonge players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vicente Gueifão kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see SC Alfonge's Lucas Freitas in action when he in the 41st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Gonçalo Coelho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Simões went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristóvão Aleixo was the one to do the kick off. When Abel Assis got free in front of the goal in the 58th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jacinto Figueiredo was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. SC Alfonge's Jacinto Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Assis in the 61st minute of play. Cristóvão Cruz hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Avantos FC's zone, José Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonçalo Coelho came out of the goal and José Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute, Abel Assis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristóvão Aleixo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Gonçalo Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. SC Alfonge's Cristóvão Aleixo got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Cristóvão Aleixo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gonçalo Coelho. The goal made the score 0-2. Cristóvão Aleixo struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Gonçalo Coelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Alfonge. In the 94th minute, one of Avantos FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Avantos FC. The goalkeeper, Gonçalo Coelho, was totally fooled by SC Alfonge's Paulo Rocha, who 96 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After having played for 103 minutes, Afonso Guerreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avantos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Guerreiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Alfonge eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
