When Nuno Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Terrafeita's protests and gave Nuno Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Terrafeita's Nuno Rocha got a free kick in the 19th minute. Eusébio Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Ramos in the 24th minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, Campina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Araújo to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Cristiano Resende ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vítor Barros was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When Lúcio Branco came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Campina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Branco couldn't finish the play. Vítor Barros was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Lúcio Branco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lúcio Branco really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiago Ramos to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Campina's goalkeeper Eusébio Vaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrique Morais. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiago Ramos in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eusébio Vaz saved Campina from getting behind. In the 66th minute Cristiano Resende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
