Nuno Abreu made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when António Melo sent off a good shot on target. The referee ignored Cintra FC's protests and gave Bernardo Assunção a yellow card for diving instead. António Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucas Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Cunha having to interfere. When Miguel Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 14th minute of the match Artur Bessa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacinto Cunha skillfully saved the ball. Fernando Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Lourenço Marques left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cintra FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 37 played minutes Cintra FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Assunção. With his leg Nuno Abreu managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when SC Ceira's António Melo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. António Melo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Abreu having to make a save. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lourenço Marques was the one to do the kick off. Jacinto Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 59 minutes into the game, Lourenço Marques recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jacinto Cunha. Lourenço Marques showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Andrade got free with Jacinto Cunha in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. António Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Abreu having to interfere. Nuno Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 85 played minutes SC Ceira got a freekick which was hit by André Paiva. If Lourenço Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th match minute, Cintra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Bessa to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute Eusébio Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
