André Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. When Armindo Paredes came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Barcouco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armindo Paredes couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the match, Barcouco's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Guerreiro came free, but Paulo Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Guerreiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Armindo Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Garcia in the 16th minute. Armindo Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Brás having to interfere. Paulo Vale was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Adolfo Guerreiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adolfo Guerreiro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristóvão Carvalho during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adolfo Guerreiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Armindo Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Afonso Brás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Guerreiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 62 minutes of play, Fanhais FC's Mariano Garcia made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Barcouco booed when Fanhais FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 66 played minutes Fanhais FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Maia. After 67 played minutes, Barcouco's Rogério Borba shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Afonso Brás came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barcouco reached it. Cristóvão Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Brás made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armindo Paredes in the 74th minute. If Mariano Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 minutes, André Martins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barcouco and the Fanhais FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 played minutes Barcouco got a freekick which was hit by André Martins. Pedro Cabral was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. André Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Fanhais FC's Adolfo Guerreiro got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Barcouco's Paulo Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Garcia in the 90th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Cristóvão Carvalho took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Afonso Brás to make any attempt to save it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Barcouco players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fanhais FC.
