Diamantino Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Bolhas's Filipe Simões in 9 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Joaquim Leal guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Jorge Matias successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fernando Brás scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorge Matias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Fábio Lopes fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Criacao FC's protests and gave Fábio Lopes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Criacao FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Fábio Lopes hit a great ball. Filipe Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Joaquim Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 26 minutes, Filipe Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bolhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 30 played minutes, Bolhas's Sérgio Resende shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joaquim Leal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bolhas reached it. A collision led to Criacao FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. André Alves hit a great ball. Paulo Baptista hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 44th match minute Fernando Valente ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Jorge Matias. 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Filipe Simões to strike the kick off in the second half. Fábio Lopes got his second yellow card in the match during the 51st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Fábio Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Jorge Matias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 77th minute of the match, Diamantino Silva got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joaquim Leal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 87th minute Joaquim Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Matias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Criacao FC's Joaquim Marques got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Joaquim Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bolhas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
