Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Varges FC's Afonso Santos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SC Barreiras's Lucas Ferro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Santos in the 3rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Afonso Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Varges FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucas Ferro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes into the game, Varges FC's Diogo Garcia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucas Ferro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Lucas Ferro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Diamantino Queirós made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when António Pinto sent off a good shot on target. António Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Diamantino Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, Diogo Garcia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Lucas Ferro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Artur Dias charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur Dias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 37 minutes into the match, Armando Cabral dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Diamantino Queirós, 1-2. Diamantino Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Cabral in the 41st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Afonso Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucas Ferro was relentless in the 48th minute of the game.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Cabral was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Afonso Santos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lucas Ferro. That made the score 1-4 in the 52 minute of play. If António Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Valente during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eusébio Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Diamantino Queirós came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Barreiras's Carlos Fonseca. But to his dismay, Carlos Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Lucas Ferro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Santos in the 64th minute of the match. Lucas Ferro was a little too slow when Afonso Santos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 2-5. Varges FC were furious when Artur Dias was red carded, 71 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When André Campos came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Varges FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Campos couldn't finish the play. Diogo Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Ferro having to interfere. Armando Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Armando Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Varges FC's Diamantino Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Pinto in the 89th minute of play. Diamantino Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Pinto in the 91st minute of the match. 98 minutes into the match, Armando Cabral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diamantino Queirós. Varges FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armando Cabral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-5. Varges FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
