After 6 minutes, Vítor Dantas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Treixedo and the SC Saragocal players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Treixedo's Vítor Dantas got a free kick in the 6th minute. José Vaz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlos Pinheiro. SC Treixedo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Carlos Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the match, SC Treixedo's Pedro Teixeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonso Macedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luís Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes SC Treixedo got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Sá. In the 18th minute of the match Jorge Delgado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Pinheiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Treixedo's Vítor Jesus got a free kick in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, SC Treixedo's Tomás Cabral got a free kick in the 21st minute. Mariano Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th match minute, SC Treixedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Sá to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, SC Treixedo's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Melo came free, but Carlos Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Borba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Teixeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedro Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Afonso Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Lima in the 56th minute of play forced SC Saragocal's goalkeeper Afonso Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Treixedo's Carlos Pinheiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save SC Treixedo from getting a goal against them. If Pedro Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Teixeira in the 72nd minute of the match. If Vítor Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Melo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Carlos Pinheiro made a huge save. After 85 minutes of play, SC Treixedo's Vítor Jesus made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afonso Macedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Assis during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Armando Assis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of SC Saragocal booed when SC Treixedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Pinheiro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 97th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jorge Delgado. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
