An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Sebastião Monteiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. SC Guirela's Alberto Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Pinheiro in the 21st minute of play. After 27 played minutes SC Treixedo got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Dantas. Vítor Jesus charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vítor Jesus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SC Treixedo's Vítor Jesus got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute of the match Cristiano Luz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Pinheiro skillfully saved the ball. If Nuno Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Jesus in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th match minute, SC Guirela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Moura to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Freitas in the 48th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquim Freitas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, SC Treixedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Jesus to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Guirela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Treixedo the free kick. In the 59th minute, Sebastião Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Torres's late challenge caught a SC Treixedo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Torres helped the player get up and apologised. David Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Nuno Pinheiro took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Alberto Tavares to make any attempt to save it. 78 minutes into the match, SC Guirela's Joaquim Freitas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Pinheiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When David Torres came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the SC Guirela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Torres couldn't finish the play. If Sebastião Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute of the match André Trindade sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Pinheiro skillfully saved the ball. Joaquim Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 minutes of play SC Guirela's David Torres was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. David Torres hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Sebastião Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Carlos Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Guirela's Sebastião Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
