In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caruncho FC's goalkeeper Pedro Assunção, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 12th minute of the match Viriato Silva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nuno Neto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cândido Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Albertino Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Caruncho FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Mendes came free, but Pedro Assunção reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albertino Viegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Nuno Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cândido Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 played minutes Caruncho FC got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Trindade. Cândido Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Assunção having to interfere. Duarte Trindade got his second yellow card in the match during the 35th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 40th minute of the match, André Mendes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedro Assunção saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. André Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Assunção having to interfere. Cândido Esteves succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 47th playminute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Carlos Moutinho's late challenge caught a Caruncho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Moutinho helped the player get up and apologised. Carlos Moutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albertino Viegas got free with Nuno Neto in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nuno Neto made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Albertino Viegas sent off a good shot on target. After 64 played minutes Guedelhas FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Moutinho. Albertino Viegas struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Nuno Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caruncho FC. João Brás hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Caruncho FC's Pedro Assunção played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cândido Esteves in the 72nd minute of play. Gustavo Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Pedro Assunção showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Mendes in the 75th minute of the match. Pedro Assunção showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Guedelhas FC's André Mendes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Assunção made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Cândido Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertino Viegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Neto having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Caruncho FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Guedelhas FC:s goal. After 94 played minutes Caruncho FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Pereira. In the 100th minute, João Brás hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Guedelhas FC had won after a very even match.
