Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Nuno Ferreira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Daniel Bessa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. A collision led to Legoinha getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. João Torres hit a great ball. Nuno Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Nuno Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the SC Coucinheira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Ferreira couldn't finish the play. Gil Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Nogueira in the 19th minute of the match. Legoinha's Jorge Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gil Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Coucinheira's Gil Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Torres in the 30th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Lourenço Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Legoinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Lourenço Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gil Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Faro hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After having played for 44 minutes, Carlos Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Coucinheira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
53 minutes into the match, Lourenço Azevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gil Mendes. SC Coucinheira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lourenço Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Jorge Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute Nuno Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Bessa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Ferreira in the 81st minute of play forced Legoinha's goalkeeper Daniel Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Manuel Aleixo notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of SC Coucinheira's Gil Mendes. Gil Mendes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Bessa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Faro in the 94th minute of play. Cristóvão Morais in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Daniel Bessa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Legoinha fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Coucinheira had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
