Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Hugo Cruz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 10th match minute, Mogoito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Lisboa to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the game, André Lisboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mogoito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galva the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mogoito's André Lisboa got a free kick in the 13th minute. Mogoito's Hugo Cruz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Mogoito from getting a goal against them. Hugo Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Delgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. André Gueifão hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Mogoito booed when Galva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Gueifão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mogoito's Eusébio Correia got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Veiga in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Cruz saved Mogoito from getting behind. In the 61st minute, Rui Moniz made a precise shot to the right of Hugo Cruz. Mogoito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Augusto Delgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mogoito's goalkeeper Hugo Cruz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gaspar Pacheco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Sousa having to interfere.
