Emanuel Matias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lúcio Barbosa in the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Miranda in the 47th minute of play forced Sadoncelho's goalkeeper Emanuel Matias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vasco Miranda made a kick off. Sadoncelho's Emanuel Matias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasco Miranda in the 52nd minute of play. After 60 played minutes Tojalinho got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Sá. Fernando Sá charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Emanuel Matias made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Lúcio Barbosa sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute, Simão Amaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Álvaro Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Tojalinho supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tojalinho would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
