Filipe Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruno Leiria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Heitor Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Carneiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Heitor Guarda. Alpedriz FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gil Araújo in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Heitor Guarda saved Alpedriz FC from getting behind. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alpedriz FC's goalkeeper Heitor Guarda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Palhagueira booed when Alpedriz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Palhagueira's Afonso Pedroso got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th match minute, Alpedriz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Paredes to maneuver through the defense. Heitor Guarda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Leiria in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Palhagueira getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Filipe Paredes hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Paulo Gueifão successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 36th minute, Gil Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Palhagueira were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomás Fernandes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Cristóvão Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Gueifão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Leiria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Guarda having to interfere. Tomás Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Paulo Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The goalkeeper, Heitor Guarda, was totally fooled by Palhagueira's Afonso Pedroso, who 68 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 83rd minute, Alpedriz FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bruno Leiria fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Tomás Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Heitor Guarda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristóvão Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
