After having played for 16 minutes, Emanuel Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Garfe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filipe Araújo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the game, Diogo Ferreira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Garfe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carvalheiro FC the free kick. In the 28th minute Emanuel Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armindo Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Filipe Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delfim Macedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filipe Araújo having to make a save. SC Garfe's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Armindo Pires 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. With a little luck, SC Garfe's Filipe Araújo got control of the ball when Delfim Macedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SC Garfe's zone, Armindo Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filipe Araújo came out of the goal and Armindo Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armindo Pires in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filipe Araújo saved SC Garfe from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Cruz in the 47th minute of play forced Carvalheiro FC's goalkeeper Alberto Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute, Emanuel Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armindo Pires to strike the kick off in the second half. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alberto Araújo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Armindo Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Cruz in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Araújo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carvalheiro FC's Delfim Macedo got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Armindo Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, SC Garfe's goal looked a bit too open when Armindo Pires came free, but Filipe Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carvalheiro FC were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after SC Garfe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lucas Faria took the corner. Lucas Faria made a great header on Carvalheiro FC's corner, it was just that SC Garfe's Filipe Araújo managed to reach the ball for a save.
