An unexpectedly hard shot by Óscar Fernandes in the 3rd minute of play forced Linharelhos's goalkeeper Pedro Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Linharelhos's zone, Miguel Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Vieira came out of the goal and Miguel Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardo Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Inácio Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Portugal FC fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Portugal FC's Óscar Fernandes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 17 minutes into the match, Óscar Fernandes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pedro Vieira, 2-0. Jacinto Santarém hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute of the match João Araújo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Vieira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Portugal FC's Cláudio Martins got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 23 played minutes, Linharelhos's Jaime Correia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Inácio Porto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Linharelhos reached it. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal FC's goalkeeper Inácio Porto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Portugal FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jacinto Rocha hit a great ball. Óscar Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Vieira having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Miguel Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portugal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Ribeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tomás Cardoso made the kick off in the second half. Cláudio Martins struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Pedro Vieira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portugal FC. In the 62nd minute Tomás Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 67 minutes, Cláudio Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portugal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cláudio Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Portugal FC fully deserved thier win.
