In the 10th minute, David Lopes made a precise shot to the right of Óscar Correia. SC Vila's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 15 played minutes Jacinto Delgado rounded Carrapichana's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto Delgado in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hélder Paiva saved Carrapichana from getting behind. After 23 played minutes SC Vila got a freekick which was hit by Heitor Neves. Jacinto Delgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Hélder Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Vila's José Domingues slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hélder Paiva. That made the score 2-2 after 44 minutes of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rui Gonçalves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Domingues in the 53rd minute of play forced Carrapichana's goalkeeper Hélder Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the game, Rui Gonçalves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Óscar Correia. Rui Gonçalves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Óscar Correia was a little too slow when Rui Gonçalves got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 2-4. Carrapichana's Hélder Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Delgado in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, SC Vila's Jacinto Delgado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hélder Paiva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Lopes got free with Óscar Correia in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Rui Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 70 minutes, David Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carrapichana's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Lopes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Heitor Neves fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Vila's protests and gave Heitor Neves a yellow card for diving instead. Heitor Neves hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Jacinto Delgado managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Vila's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Delgado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélder Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carrapichana's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
