Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Abitureiras's Bruno Valente started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SC Abitureiras's João Moreira got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Armindo Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Corujas's supporters rose to their feet, but Armindo Ferreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Guerreiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Moreira in the 13th minute of the match. After having played for 16 minutes, Bruno Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Abitureiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Valente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Valente in the 18th minute of play. Carlos Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Moreira in the 20th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Bruno Valente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Cabral was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 38th minute, Mário Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute, José Antunes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Abitureiras's Carlos Guerreiro didn't even have to move. If Bruno Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bruno Valente came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the SC Abitureiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Valente couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rui Cardoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Armindo Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the match, SC Abitureiras's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Cardoso came free, but Carlos Guerreiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Sandro Setúbal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Corujas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Abitureiras the free kick. After 67 played minutes SC Corujas got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Setúbal. Carlos Guerreiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armindo Ferreira went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Rui Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute, João Moreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Moreira might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Cabral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Moreira ran back to his position shaking his head. 89 minutes into the match, SC Abitureiras's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Cardoso came free, but Carlos Guerreiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Armindo Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Guerreiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Moreira hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Armindo Ferreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Guerreiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 99th minute of play.
